A collaboration of BLW Water's hydrants and the Marietta Fire Department's (MFD) hydrants - includes hydrants that are outside of Water's boundary, but inside City Limits, and includes private hydrants within Water's boundary. The MFD hydrants were originally spawned from an old GIS feature classes called HYDINCITY, which used to be a dynamic output from the 400 system. After 2003, the MFD stopped making edits via the 400, and GIS began manually making changes via bi-annual paper map updates from MFD hydrant inspections. In 2010, GIS built on the HYDINCITY data by GPSing all hydrants that were inside City Limits, but outside of the Water boundary. HYDINCITY was appened to this feature class in 2012. The old Resource Number from the 400 system remains and is under the FireDeptNumber field; these Resource Numbers should currently match the hydrant numbers in FireHouse. |
